Recipe: Crock-Pot Pesto Chicken Pasta

Crock-Pot Pesto Chicken Pasta Crockpot  
   
INGREDIENTS DIRECTIONS     COOK TIME
       
4 chicken breasts or thighs Step 1:  Place chicken in crock pot, sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Smother the pesto evenly over the chicken then cut the butter into slices and  lay over the pesto covered chicken.  Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours without opening the lid during the cooking time.  
1 tsp garlic salt  
1/4 tsp pepper  
1 8 oz jar of pesto Step 2:  Near the end of the cooking time, cook the pasta according to the package directions and drain well.  While the pasta is cooking, shred the chicken with two forks until all the chicken is shredded.    YIELD
1/2 cup salted butter  
1 lb. pasta  
1/2 cup parmesan Step 3:  Add the cooked pasta, shredded chicken and parmesan cheese and stir everything until the pasta is coated with the chicken and pesto sauce.  Add mozzarella cheese over the top of the pasta and sprinkling dried basil on the top.  Cover for about 15 min or until the cheese is melted.  
2 cups shredded mozzarella  
1/4 dried basil
